Getting Started


What do I have to do to set up my IBEM Account?

Getting started is fast and easy. Sign up for a Free 30-Day Trial in minutes*. There is no risk or obligation and no credit card is required. Once you log into your account, simply:

- Set up initial account information (email signature, company name, logo, etc)
- Import your permission-based email addresses, if you have existing contacts
- Set up a Visitor sign-up box to collect email addresses from your web site
- Create and send a test campaign - our Getting Started box and helpful resources offer step-by-step help


* To remain in your free 30-Day trial, your contact list must be fewer than 100 email addresses. Going over this limit will prompt the system to ask you to start a paying account. During your free 30-day DataCollect trial, you are limited to viewing 100 DataCollect responses. Your DataCollects remain active and all the responses recieved over the trial limit of 100 are saved and available when you purchase DataCollect. The 100 email address limit is not applicable if you are a paying Email Marketing customer.


Is there training available?

Yes. We are always here to help. Starting the day you sign up for a free trial and going forward, you have free access to live personal coaching, product support, online resources-including our live product tour-and recorded online DataCollect tutorials that you can take at you leisure. Email Lists


Can I rent or buy an email list to use with the IBEM.BIZ service?

IBEM.BIZ can only be used with email lists for which you have permission to communicate to. Please read our ANTI-SPAM policy.


What happens to my list after I upload it in to IBEM.BIZ?

Your list is safe behind our heavily secured firewalls. It will reside in your IBEM.BIZ account until you remove your list. IBEM.BIZ will never rent, share or sell your list. For more details read our Email Privacy Policy.


How do I get my list imported in to my IBEM.BIZ account?

IBEM.BIZ will accept your email addresses in 3 file formats; .txt (text file), .csv (Comma Separated Values) and .xls (Microsoft® Excel® Spreadsheet). Simply browse to where the file lives on your computer and let the IBEM.BIZ wizard guide you through the import.


If I want to use the email addresses I have in my Microsoft® Outlook® Address book, how do I get them in to IBEM.BIZ?

To import an address file from Microsoft® Outlook®, you must export your Microsoft® Outlook® Contact folder to a text (i.e., contacts.txt) file. Detailed instructions.


What if I don't have an email list?

No Problem. It's time to get started! There are several ways you can collect email addresses. IBEM.BIZ provides a list building tool in the form of a sign up box to be put on your website. Your site visitors can sign up for your email list and their addresses are automatically imported in to your IBEM.BIZ account. You have access to this tool even in the free trial.


Other ways to collect would be to set up a guest register and have customers provide you with their email addresses that you will import in to your IBEM.BIZ account. Trade shows, conferences, purchases - any time you touch your customer, invite them to join your list.

What DataCollect templates are available?

Choose from more than 40 online DataCollect templates in five categories: customer satisfaction, market research, new product development, nonprofit and website feedback. Each DataCollect template includes expertly-written questions.


Can I edit the DataCollect templates?

Yes. The pre-written questions within our templates can be easily modified. Add or delete questions, change the order of questions with one-click drag and drop, edit the text or designate specific questions as required. You can also insert page breaks and change the color (background, and questions & answer text).


Can I create my own DataCollect without a template?

Yes. Our step-by-step wizard allows you to create online DataCollect from scratch. Our free online resources provide helpful tips for creating your own DataCollect from scratch.


Can I add my logo to my DataCollect?

You have the option to insert your logo on the online DataCollect greeting or closing page.


Distribution


How do I activate my online DataCollect so my contacts can take it?

After you have tested your DataCollect-taken it to see it the way your respondents will see it-you will need to change the DataCollect status from "Draft" to "Live" so that the DataCollect can be taken.


How can I distribute my DataCollect to my existing contacts?

Once your online DataCollect is in "Live" status, you can distribute your DataCollect to your existing permission-based contacts through a personalized email invitation. The wizard will take you through the steps of identifying which contacts you want to receive the invitation. You also have the option of posting the DataCollect link on your website for online visitors to take your DataCollect.


How can I distribute my DataCollect if I do not yet have a contact list?

There are many creative ways of distributing your DataCollect. Provide a place for your visitors to take a DataCollect by putting a computer kiosk at a tradeshow or in your office/store. You can also place the Visitor sign-up box on your website to collect permission-based email addresses and follow it with an online DataCollect email invitation or simply place a link on your webpage.

How do I manage the responses I get from my online DataCollect?

IBEM automatically collects and presents results instantly with easy-to-read graphical displays, and data that can be refreshed and updated, around the clock. You have access to overall view or drill down view:

Quickly evaluate DataCollect results at-a-glance with friendly graphs. You can hide or view the details and review text answers with one click. You can also drill down to view respondents by answer choice, and save them to a list.


2. Individual results

View results by respondent-leading to valuable insight for one-on-one follow-up communication. You can search for, and analyze a single respondent by viewing their contact details, including name and address, and learn how they answered all questions.


3. Invitation results

Instantly measure the performance of your DataCollect email invitations. You can use the at-a-glance view of all invitations sent for each DataCollect. You can also see the date sent, number sent, opens, clicks, and more.


How do I export my results?

With just one click, you can export your online DataCollect results in CSV format to look for key trends over time.

What is filtering?

Filtering enables you to group and segment respondents, based on how they answer select DataCollect questions. You determine which question and answer choices you want to filter, and DataCollect displays the results with easy-to-read graphs. With one click, you can drill down to identify who fits your selected criteria. Then, save them to a new list or an existing list for targeted follow-up.
